H. de Roos - Rodinīs Approach to Art |
introduction This essay offers an introduction to Rodinīs approach to Art in 22 short chapters. Although the text is quite condensed, I have tried to refer to some differentiated insights lacking in many popular booklets on Rodin, that try to evoke a homogeneous image of this multi-faceted artist - according to the style their authors want to propagate. During his life, Rodin developed a variety of styles and methods, and deliberately helped to create myths about his work. The
booknotes refer to the literature used and may guide you to a more
extensive study of the topics touched upon.
